Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant to the Dean is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Dean for the Rosenberg School of Optometry. The Administrative Assistant to the Dean reports to the Dean, Rosenberg School of Optometry.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, or similar systems.
- Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Work Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience in a business setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Related work experience in a higher education setting.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish language.

Work Hours
Typical Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional extended hours/weekends to meet departmental needs.
