Position Overview

To source and contract required categories needed in the operation of all TXRH concepts and restaurants and support the distribution function with the priorities of quality, food safety and price.

Responsibilities

· Source and negotiate contracts for assigned FFE category items delegated by the Manager of FFE or the Non-Food Procurement team leader

· Support operations and Texas Roadhouse Suppliers/Distributors by handling purchasing and distribution related problems associated with assigned categories

· Work with distribution partner, as well as suppliers, to ensure product availability and surety of supply, including new store openings

· Research and support the sourcing of alternate suppliers by coordinating sample evaluations and product testing and approval with the TXRH Food Team

· Support and enable communication to store’s concerning product changes.

· Maintain records of negotiated contracts, etc

· Locate FFE suppliers and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales

· Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy

· Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability

· Support the preparation and processing of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and completing process with testing and standardization

· Support the review, evaluation, and approval of specifications for issuing and awarding bids

· Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs

· Request and coordinate samples requested by Buyers and other Support Center departments

· Work with operations, QA, development, and other teams to identify opportunities with products/suppliers and work to improve functionality and costs with suppliers

· Continuously work to monitor Supplier Performance leveraging KPIs and communicate back to suppliers

· Continuous improvement for the procure-to-pay process by identifying and leading efforts to streamline, automate and standardize processes across suppliers & items

· May come in contact with company trade secrets, confidential information, and intangible assets

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred and restaurant industry experience a plus

· Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing/Buying/FFE/Distribution or relevant experience in Supply Chain, Accounting, Economics, Operations or Financial analyst that has given the incumbent the knowledge, skills and abilities to do the job required under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

· Strong Excel knowledge, data analysis and customer service expertise
