(Per Diem) - flexible hours!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide safe and clean transportation for, admissions, discharges, appointments, outside meetings, residences, or other locations as determined or requested by, clinical, medical or admissions.
- Maintain all Caron trainings through net learning as well as classroom.
- Once a trip is accepted, you are responsible for maintaining a personal reminder for scheduled trips.
- Drive within a 250-mile radius, or further if required.
- Responsible for all trip related paperwork, pre and post
- Responsible for refueling vehicle after trip is complete.
- Must be able to learn limited computer tasks like but not limited to checking emails, completing work orders and or incident reports on a computer.
- Must be available to the department to perform other duties.
- Responsible for keeping the vehicles clean inside, food and drinks are prohibited.
- Report any vehicle related issues immediately to the on-duty dispatcher or the supervisor of transportation.
- Always maintain a professional demeanor.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Adhere to all Caron policies as well as transportation procedures and guidelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be able to climb up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. In and out of vehicles and up and down stairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 25 years of age or older.
- Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Driving Standards Policy
- Must meet minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
- If recovering, a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications, these will be obtained upon starting employment at Caron. It is your responsibility to maintain these as needed through Caron training thereafter.
- Neloxone/Narcan certification must be obtained during 1st day of inner Dept. training
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to get along with clients and staff.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to read maps, understand and navigate via GPS.
COMPETENCE MEASUREMENT:
- Transport patients in a professional manner – Measured through patient surveys, staff feedback.
- Proficiency in reading maps and following driving directions – observation through length of time necessary to complete trips and staying on route.
- Safe driving record – observation through law enforcement activity and absence of vehicular damage.
