The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for fostering a positive work environment and managing employee relations within a manufacturing setting. This role involves addressing employee concerns, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and maintaining effective communication between employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and comply with employment laws.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and mediate conflicts between employees and management, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on employee relations, workplace behavior, and company policies for management and staff.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to employee relations, turnover, and engagement to identify trends and develop improvement strategies.
  • Advisory Role: Provide guidance to management on disciplinary actions, terminations, and other employee relations issues.
  • Employee Support: Offer support and resources to employees regarding workplace issues, benefits, and counseling services.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and HR software.

Working Conditions:
  • Environment: Manufacturing plant setting with occasional office work.
  • Hours: Full-time, with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.
