Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring an Experiential Learning and Career Services Coordinator in our Student Affairs department. This position will lead the Experiential Learning and Career Services Center (ELC) by developing and coordinating a comprehensive suite of career services to support students from matriculation to graduation, including but not limited to career exploration, resume building, mock interviewing, and various programming such as career and program fairs. Furthermore, coordinate all experiential learning services, including establishing and maintaining various sites for Experiential Learning Opportunities (ELOs), professional development for faculty and staff, community forums, site orientations, and training videos (student, faculty, and site mentors).
Job Duties:
• Develop and coordinate a comprehensive suite of career services to support students from matriculation to graduation, including but not limited to career exploration, resume building, mock interviewing, and various programming such as career and program fairs. Coordinate all experiential learning services, including establishing and maintaining various sites for Experiential Learning Opportunities (ELOs), professional development for faculty and staff, community forums, site orientations, and training videos (student, faculty, and site mentors).
• Assist in the development of agreements, partnerships, and collaborative efforts with local industry and community partners in support of OCTC’s Experiential Learning and Career Services Center.
• Collaborate closely with ELC Success Coaches to provide individualized service to students and facilitate ELC programming.
• Develop and maintain centralized processes, procedures, forms, and definitions for the Experiential Learning and Career Services Center and related activities.
• Manage Experiential Learning and Career Services budget.
• Assist with ongoing assessment and evaluation of experiential learning and career services.
• All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Higher Education, Leadership, Counseling, Experiential Learning, or related field) and six (6) years related experience, or equivalent is required.
