International Cooperation Analyst - Clearance Required
Overview
LMI is seeking a Consultant to serve as an International Cooperation Analyst supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (ASD (IBP)) to ensure a healthy Defense Industrial Base is able to meet Warfighter needs.
The International Cooperation Analyst will help advance Department of Defense objectives with allies and international partners.
The candidate will plan and execute ASD (IBP) outreach and dialogue with international stakeholders and departmental and interagency partners to improve collaboration, communication, and security of supply for materials critical to national defense.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and analytical support to country desk officers.
- Draft packages (schedule requests, read aheads, official requests for funds, etc) in support of bilateral and multilateral events with international partners and other stakeholders.
- Manage engagement and correspondence trackers as it relates to various country portfolios.
- Support bilateral and multilateral events with international partners in support of DoD priorities and senior leadership engagements.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement international engagement plans to build close partnerships with allies on promoting and protecting critical technologies.
- Identify and recommend mutually beneficial international armaments cooperation opportunities and activities to gain access to cutting edge technology.
- Develop international armaments cooperation strategies for emerging partners and update current strategies for established bilateral and multilateral partners.
- Help to resolve international agreement, technology security, program acquisition and foreign disclosure issues for identified allies and partners.
- Research, analyze, and monitor the geo-political environment, defense structure, technology capability and defense industrial base.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an active DoD Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree (Any Field) required
- At least 18 months of experience in international armaments cooperation activities desired
- At least 18 months of Department of Defense, OSD or Service Headquarters international armaments cooperation activities desired
- Experience in Foreign Military Sales programs and cooperative acquisition desired
- Experience in security disclosure, export control desired
Target salary range: $82,025 - $144,364
