Position Summary:

We are seeking a well-rounded individual who can perform maintenance duties on a variety of equipment units, perform building maintenance, and assist with basic grounds keeping.  The maintenance technician will work independently at times and as a team to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.  They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Safety First- Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.

Essential functions:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain plant plumbing, heating, cooling and related facilities and equipment
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Identify and resolve problems before they become costly
  • Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing.
  • Basic computer skills, performing basic tasks in maintenance software(CMMS).
  • Required to maintain plant safety and housekeeping.
  • Perform basic trouble shooting of hydraulic systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with maintenance staff and others.
  • Work in a fast pace environment with changing priorities.
  • Must be able to understand and complete work assignments.
  • Welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and machining skills.
  • Available for on-calls for down equipment, snow removal, or any other urgent plant items.
  • Other duties as necessary.

  • Sweep/Scrub facilities
  • Snow removal
  • Must be able to Communicate in English                      

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and must hold a certificate or diploma,
  • Willing to work overtime, Saturday & Sunday if necessary, must have a flexible schedule.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative skills
  • Desire & ability to continuously learn & apply new knowledge/skills
  • Values teamwork & skills necessary to be an effective team member
  • Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience
  • Hands on experience in a maintenance or mechanical capacity
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools & techniques.
  • Passion for quality workmanship
  • Passion for Safety
