Responsibilities
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Operations Planner impacts PSA Airlines' growth by overseeing that the aircraft maintenance program tasks are executed, performed, and completed in an effective and efficient manner. The Maintenance Operation Planner, located in OCC, is responsible for monitoring, planning, routing and scheduling required maintenance on short-range (1-7 days) aircraft plan. - Analyze and conduct scheduling and work load planning to ensure maximum efficiency and full compliance with maintenance requirements.
- Monitor, forecast and coordinate the scheduling of short-range maintenance requirements on aircraft.
- Effectively and efficiently, utilizing company computer systems to identify maintenance aircraft requirements and assigned/capable overnight stations ensuring the timely compliance.
- Monitor aircraft status and station operations and coordinate routing/rerouting aircraft to facilitate any operational irregularities while maintaining the integrity of the maintenance plan and established company performance objectives.
- Coordinate and communicate all "day of" operational changes affecting the maintenance plan, resolve conflicts between the maintenance and the daily operational schedules.
- Provide constant oversight of the short-range maintenance plan advising the Supervisor and Maintenance Planning department of any irregularities, and dispatch coordinators of any routing of any conflicts affecting the maintenance schedule.
- Balance station nightly workload; coordinate with Base Stations on overnight work plan, ensuring scheduled maintenance optimizes station capacity and capabilities.
- Coordinate with internal, functional departments to ensure parts, material, tooling and manpower are available for the work to be scheduled.
- Coordinate with OCC personnel for ferry or repositioning of scheduled maintenance aircraft.
- Create, review, and execute daily work orders to the required maintenance bases via electronic planning platform.
- Work closely with MOC & Liaison Engineering personnel in tracking and scheduling fault/deferred maintenance items such as Minimal Equipment List (MELs) and Configuration Deviation List (CDLs).
- Provides daily turnover communication to fellow team members of critical tasks and items of importance affecting the operation.
- Ensure all specified policies, practices and procedures are complied with.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Qualifications Required- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical and computer skills with advance knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
- College degree or equivalent amount of work experience - two years' experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning/programs or relative field.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
