The US Consumer and Digital Technology (USCDT) organization within the Technology Organization at American Express brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.

With over 3500+ colleagues and contractors, USCDT’s success is founded in the efficiency of organizational processes and operations. To help maintain and grow this standard, we’re seeking a highly-organized, hard-working and enthusiastic Manager Assistant to run daily processes, project management and colleague engagement activities globally at the USCDT Executive Office. The Office supports the EVP, USCDT and oversees operations and portfolio management for the organization. Furthermore, the position will help develop insights and influence the strategic direction of projects.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, USCDT, this position is in part responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of USCDT and its leadership team’s operating rhythm, and delivery of goals pertaining to the Colleague Experience Group (CEG), Technology Workforce & Talent Excellence (TWTE) and other key Blue Box partners across the Technology organization and beyond.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage daily internal processes and related coordination with USCDT teams and business partners. 
  • Work across USCDT B45+ leaders, Chief of Staffs/Manager Assistants, and key partners, such as CEG and TWTE, and maintain constant communication with them to ensure successful delivery of internal talent needs, opportunities and processes.
  • Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the organization’s internal capacity. 
  • Bring a sharp project management approach to all tasks and anticipate project risks and issues to avoid compromising delivery.
  • With guidance from the Chief of Staff, lead general project management and special projects requiring analysis and data consolidation.
  • Plan and manage the logistics of important high-profile events, such as Town Halls and quarterly leadership team meetings, and colleague engagement events.
  • Support the Chief of Staff in evaluating and developing insights on opportunities that influence the strategic direction of projects.
  • Build strong working relationships across the USCDT org, and with key partners, to enhance collaboration and problem solving, and generate solutions to deliver results. 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organized, a team player, aconfident communicator at all levels, and eager to take full ownership of their work.

Skills & Experience:

  • A self-starter who is able to lead projects with autonomously.
  • Eager to lead as well as follow and receive feedback with an outlook toward team success and growth.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects simultaneously, with great follow-up and attention to detail, and work well in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project and process management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with focus on precision and command of corporate protocol.
  • Pro-active collaboration with ability to build trust through transparency of information and delivering on commitment.
  • Demonstrated relationship skills with proven track record to influence without authority.
  • Never settle for being “good enough” and able to work well under pressure in a changing environment.
  • Prior experience in Technology, Product or Portfolio related team is preferred
  • 7 to 11 years of relevant work experience

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
