Job Summary
This role encompasses the Montgomery Campus in Mount Sterling and the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana, KY. It involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment across all buildings, including systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, communication, vehicle maintenance, and control systems. Additionally, the position includes the supervision and management of campus maintenance and custodial staff.
Job Duties:
• Provides leadership by developing and implementing effective work procedures and work schedules for campus custodial staff and evaluating work performance.
• Establishes and implements preventive maintenance procedures for all campus grounds and equipment, as well as provide training to campus custodial staff on these procedures
• Opens and closes the building according to the operational hours as established by the college.
• Plans and orders supplies, equipment parts, cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment for proper maintenance for the campus.
• Maintains campus college vehicle such as maintenance, mileage, etc.
• Coordinates snow-removal during winter months, spread de-icing on walkways.
• Supervises and carries out programs pertaining to fire safety and health requirements which include personal inspections, tests, written reports and recommendations, and arranges for any necessary corrective actions.
• Coordinates special facilities projects such as renovations and assisting with vending services.
• Maintains campus buildings, grounds, and repairs such as trimming trees, bushes, and weeding, etc.
• Receives job orders from campus faculty and staff and completes or assigns tasks to custodial staff.
• Receives, delivers, installs all equipment and tags equipment with KCTCS property numbers.
• Removes and labels hazardous waste.
• Provides and contacts proper safety and security authorities as needed for campus faculty, staff, and students.
• Schedule contractor visits as necessary for technical support and installation.
• Picks up, delivers, and is responsible for mail and postage meter including courier to other campuses.
• Schedules campus classrooms using scheduling database.
• Provides setup and breakdown of furniture for special events.
• Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets program for maintenance and operations.
• Buffs and waxes floors as needed.
• Maintains key log for the campus employees.
• Supports Information Technology department as needed.
• Supervises custodial staff.
• Available 24/7 on an emergency basis when required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors in associated field and 2 years experience or equivalent
