Target city for territory is New Albany- will consider candidates who live within 40 miles of territory boundaries with access to a major airport. Territory boundaries include: Jeffersonville, Madison, Seymour, Vincennes and Princeton

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for growing market share and increasing sales volume of Lundbeck CNS products within a defined territory consisting of 50-75 targeted physicians and key accounts (private psych practices, CSBs hospitals, etc.) through effective territory management and precise execution. Additionally, this individual will coordinate, host and attend key opinion leader speaker programs and work closely with strategic alliance partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Achieve or exceed market share and sales volume goals.
• Analyze sales reports and develop business plan to increase market share.
• Execute strategies to drive sales in key accounts.
• Appropriately and effectively utilize available resources to drive sales with key customers.
• Work with sales management to effectively address managed care and reimbursement opportunities.
• Develop expert knowledge of disease state and products.
• Develop strategic account management strategies and tactics to drive product utilization with key accounts.
• Work closely with strategic alliance partners to drive product sales in overlap accounts.
• Achieve or exceed territory execution metrics.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university
• 1+ year(s) of sales, marketing, and/or relevant commercial experience
• High energy level and strong work ethic
• Strong planning and interpersonal skills; demonstrated decision-making ability
• Requires a high level of initiative and independence
• Must demonstrate the intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams, including being certified on product knowledge annually
• High energy level and strong work ethic
• Outstanding communication skills
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Driving is an essential duty of this job; must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company requirements
• Meeting and complying with reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers / customer facilities is required for continued employment with Lundbeck
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• 1+ year(s) calling on psychiatrists or neurologists
• Additional healthcare-related formal educational, certifications or training is a plus
TRAVEL:
- Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30% - 40% domestically to (a) regularly meet/interact with customer base and internal personnel within assigned territory; and (b) typically attend 4-8 internal/external conferences and meetings spanning locations within the United States. Travel must be able to be completed in a timely manner.
