Job Summary

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment: Department of Plant & Soil Sciences seeks a Research Analyst in the Critical Zone Pedology Laboratory. The Critical Zone is the thin, outermost veneer of the Earth’s crust, from the top of the vegetation canopy down to fresh, unweathered bedrock. Duties of this position include assisting in research that investigates the role of soils in the formation, structure, and evolution of the Critical Zone. Additional duties include assisting in conducting research experiments, preparing and running soil samples for physical, chemical, mineralogical analyses, training, assisting with field work, and laboratory maintenance and management. Candidates should have experience working in a highly interdisciplinary environment and a background in soil, environmental, or earth sciences.
