Sales Representative - Construction Technology
Territory: New York City and Long Island
Pay & Commission:$60,000 base salary with uncapped commission potential
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm; overtime and travel availability required

Key qualifications:
- Experience with surveying, estimating, construction equipment, and earthmoving operations required
- Experience with construction technologies such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, Spectra required
- Previous direct sales experience in industrial-type market, required
- Ability to prospect and maintain business relationships
- Clean & valid driver's license
- Economically motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills
SITECH Metro Northeast is part of the worldwide SITECH distribution network, which offers Trimble product and service solutions with construction technology, customized training, data solutions, installation, service, and technical support. These include 2D and 3D grade-control, paving control, site positioning, compact machine solutions, construction asset management, as well as supporting infrastructure and data prep solutions.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Representative - Construction Technology is responsible for the following tasks:
- Build and develop relationships with Trimble construction customers in and expand customer base in NYC & LI
- Successfully sell, rent, and lease Trimble equipment or any other SITECH products
- Develop & utilize strategies & selling tools to sell the features/benefits of Trimble equipment & value of the total product offerings
- Ensure adequate, cost-effective sales coverage of all existing accounts and the development of new accounts / increase market share
- Coordinate with customers on service and demos, as needed
- Support customer service needs by connecting them to field technicians, as appropriate
- Coordinate with Inside Sales Rep on lead generation and progress of inside sales
- Create quotes in collaboration with General Manager
- Maintain and communicate accurate data to General Manager
- Assist in providing sales documentation
Qualifications:
- Experience with surveying, estimating, construction equipment, and earthmoving operations required
- Experience with construction technologies such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, Spectra required
- Previous direct sales experience, preferably in industrial-type market, required
- Ability to manage a sales territory, prospect, and cultivate new accounts
- Clean & valid driver’s license required (this is an outside sales role)
- Excellent influencing skills
- Economically motivated
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- PC proficient (including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)
- Proficiency with CRM systems to track all sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and orders
- Strong self-starter with high-level time management skills
