Sterile Processing certification (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM)) within 2 years
Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods of time, handling sharp instruments.
Shift
Monday–Friday, as per department needs (Typically 8:00am-5:00pm).
Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing instrument cleaning, sterilization and packaging; and the distribution and collection of dental procedural/surgical kits and instruments. The successful candidate will assure patient safety and infection control while providing exceptional customer service.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess upon hire or obtain within 2 years sterile processing certification as a condition of employment. Must maintain the certification throughout employment.

Accuracy, attention to detail, hand and finger dexterity and motor skill, knowledge of sterilization and packaging processes and procedures, knowledge of safety hazards,maintaining records/logs and proper chain of command, teamwork, flexibility, positive attitude and behaviors, ability to work in a stressful environment.
Must possess or receive Sterile Processing certification (CSBPD or IAHCSMM) within 2 years and must maintain the certification throughout employment.

Experience in sterile processing in a dental setting preferred.
