In this job, you’ll manage and maintain documents and drawings for the Generation organizational unit, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues with electronic and physical document storage repositories to ensure accurate classification, retention, and disposition of records. You will assist in implementing document and drawing programs at field locations, collaborate with clients to support their document and drawing needs, and train users on document and drawing tools. Additionally, you will travel to field locations of Western operation departments to manage on-site documents and drawings, support the gap analysis process to address concerns, and assist in developing recommendations for optimal solutions. Responsibilities
- Assists with document control activities including filing documents, maintaining master logs, and participating in document approval status review meetings
- Maintains the files and control logs as required by the project, assisting in the creation of new document libraries
- Ensures documents are formatted in line with relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulating standards
- Performs daily document management tasks such as naming and tagging documents
- Receives, prepares, audits, and sends documents to be reviewed by external engineers of different specialties
- Assists in developing recommendations for optimum solutions
- Performs metadata entry, uploads documentation and log information to databases for additional external audits
- Completes reviews, meets deadlines, and notifies vendors of changes made to the specifications on documentation
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three or more years experience compiling and maintaining technical documentation such as blueprints, drawings, change orders and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in developing project schedules, timelines, presentations, scopes of work, and deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings using CAD standards.
- Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences and senior leadership.
- Experience collaborating with external vendors to share project information.
- Proficiency in using scanning software.
- Familiarity with documents specific to the business line.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Big Creek, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time in Kern and Kaweah.

- Position will require up to 60% traveling and being out in the field throughout the Big Creek area.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
