Trainer & Clinical Coach

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and update effective clinical trainings including classroom, virtual and eLearning formats in collaboration with department supervisor in alliance with accrediting bodies and Caron’s strategic initiatives.
- Conduct periodic training needs assessment by conferring with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training.
- Assist in the design and implementation of approved requested trainings related to clinical training.
- Develop and implement training for key strategic initiatives.
- Design, deliver and update training programs, live & eLearning formats for professional support training as needed or requested by leadership.
- Be an active presenter in ongoing recurring corporate trainings such as NEO, Clinical Academy, Diversity and Inclusion, Onboarding, and Supervisor Training Series. May also be asked to become a certified instructor for CPI or CPR as needed.
- Facilitate patient process groups, specialty groups, deliver patient lectures and cover patient cases when needed.
- Act as on-site evaluator for selected new clinical services.
- Provide clinical coaching and educational experiences for clinical staff, supporting them in implementing evidence based, best practices.
- Assist with Peer Leadership Group facilitation across the continuum as needed.
- Participate in Public Speaking engagements for Caron within the community, as assigned.
- Share responsibility of the technical management of Caron’s Learning Management System (LMS) and work collaboratively with department’s LMS Administrator and supervisor to maintain training plans that support best practices and state requirements.
- Chair and participate in committees relevant to Caron Strategic Plan (might include, but not limited to Documentation Committee, Safety Committee, Wellness Committee, Trauma-Informed Care Committee etc.)
- Provide individual clinical coaching for new clinical employees to support their onboarding and acclimation to the Caron culture.

- Must be able to work extended hours.
- Must be able to deliver presentations which may be lengthy or multiple in a day.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to ambulate throughout Caron’s campuses, including ascending and descending stairs.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum master’s Degree in human services and/or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical counseling with five years’ experience strongly preferred.
- Certification as a drug and alcohol professional strongly preferred.
- Training and experience in evidence-based approaches and best practices for behavioral health treatment.
- 3 years’ experience training/public speaking experience- preferably regarding clinical/recovery topics strongly preferred.
- If in recovery, 2 years of continuous sobriety preferred.
