GENERAL DUTIES:
The Business and Industry Instructor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

<li>Serve as liaison between business, industry, and school personnel in determining and coordinating the following: curriculum needs, overall objectives, the scope of training, staffing, scheduling, organizing instruction, length of the program, safety precautions during training, and estimated cost of the training program.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain professional relationships with instructional staff, specifically in TCAT industrial training programs, to assist with the successful placement of students.</li>
<li>Work directly with local and state entities (including chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, workforce development agencies, local school districts, and elected officials) to determine and meet specific workforce development needs.</li>
<li>Actively seek input from advisory committees, focus groups, business and industry, and civic leaders to ensure that services are based on community needs.</li>
<li>Facilitate industry outreach and relationship management.</li>
<li>Assume other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as necessary to accomplish the strategic goals of the TCAT.</li>
<li>Responsible for assisting with progress reports and student outcome data reports for Business and Industry Training Programs.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY The Allied Health Educator is responsible for effectively developing, maintaining and providing health careers training for the College’s non-credit workforce programs, which include both continuing education for professional development and industry-recognized credential attainment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides training for non-credit health careers classes. Evaluates and reports program progress. Maintains communication with clinical partners. Establishes and maintains appropriate records for each student. Conducts or oversees clinical competency examinations, monitors student progress and maintains comprehensive records on student performance. Confers with and advises students on their clinical performance and progress.
Adheres to clinical training guidelines consistent with the assigned program’s didactic and clinical training content. Conducts and oversees clinical demonstrations and lab sessions. Maintains the quality of clinical training and its conformance to certification standards. Delivers training in accordance with approved course description, learning outcomes and schedule. Delivers training to a set curriculum plan with clear learning outcomes and competencies.
Prepares a course syllabus in advance of the course start date. Ensures that lesson plans and training materials for the full course are relevant and current. Conducts all class sessions at the scheduled time. Responds to student inquiries and provides feedback on student assignments promptly. Coordinates with other educators in the program to ensure curriculum continuity across courses. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in a related healthcare field.

Prior experience training/teaching/presenting in an online environment.

TRUCK DRIVING ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME)
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the part-time position of Truck Driving Adjunct Instructor to be located at the Parsons Campus in Parsons, Tennessee.&nbsp; This scheduled class time will be two nights a week (5 p.m. – 9 p.m.) and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Candidates must have high school diploma</li>
<li>Must hold a valid commercial driver's license in Tennessee</li>
<li>Minimum of five years’ recent experience as over-the-road driver with exemplary record</li>
<li>Must possess good verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Must be able to organize and provide theoretical and practical instructional activities to enable students to obtain CDL</li>
</ul>
GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp;
The adjunct truck driving instructor is responsible for teaching all phases of the program to include safety regulations; CDL regulations, traffic laws, road atlas and highway routes; instruments and cab controls; engine and air brake systems, adverse weather condition driving techniques; hazardous materials transportation; clutch, gear and transmission patterns; coupling and uncoupling trailers, obstacle course and backing procedures; defensive driving; and over-the-road driving experiences. The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with the program advisory committee; conduct visits to related business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp; Other duties include assisting with curriculum development and updates, student record keeping, participation in professional development activities, and participation in student organizations
SALARY:&nbsp; $32.00 per hour

Job Duties

<li>50% - • Provide training for non-credit courses offered by Workforce Solutions (WFS) • Conduct all classes at the scheduled time and work with the Director to arrange for any postponements, cancellations, or substitutions • Deliver training to a set curriculum plan with clear learning outcomes and competencies. • Adhere to training guidelines established by WFS • Ensure conformance of training to applicable certification standards • Provide end-of-course information for record in the Learning Management System (LMS) • Complete educator onboarding, relevant learning technology training, and other training as needed or required. Comply with FERPA, HIPAA, and other privacy laws and policies. • Work with the Director to maintain continuity of course content and quality among other instructors used to teach courses • Work with the Director and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a course syllabus for a course in advance of the course date • Conduct routine curriculum reviews to ensure course content remains fresh and relevant • Review course evaluations and other feedback with the Director and other stakeholders to make adjustments as necessary • Provide routine evaluations and reports on programs. - (Essential)</li>

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Five years of recent manufacturing experience in the engineering/ maintenance area focusing on PLC, robotics, and automation Supervisory experience OSHA thirty-hour industry certification Other related technical skills are also preferred
