POSITION SUMMARY &nbsp;The Campus Operations &amp; Safety Specialist I will have specific campus safety enhancement tasks assigned daily that will include, but not be limited to: Patrols, Report Writing, Crisis Response Roles, Campus Safety Team membership, Campus Safety Phone Protocols and Procedures, Emergency Drill assistance, Parking Enforcement, etc. In addition, will assist with maintenance and event support.Their role will provide general administrative support to campus operations leadership. This role will be a welcoming and informational presence throughout the day while also being responsible for running/updating the parking, badge, purchasing and mail.3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDaily Functions of Safety Specialist I (60%)<ul><li>Patrol and Surveillance:<ul><li>Regularly patrol campus grounds, buildings, and facilities on foot, bike, or vehicle to ensure safety and security.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Emergency Response:<ul><li>Act as the first responder to campus emergencies, including medical and criminal incidents.</li><li>As appropriate, coordinate responses with local police, fire and other emergency responders.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide first aid and CPR/AED when necessary.</li><li>Assist with campus emergency situations such as bomb threats, alarms, or accidents.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Enforcement and Compliance:<ul><li>Enforce campus policies and procedures related to safety and security.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the campus environment.</li><li>Issue warnings when necessary.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Investigation and Reporting:<ul><li>Investigate and report unusual, suspicious, or dangerous circumstances.</li><li>Complete investigations of campus violations, talking with witnesses, and writing incident reports. Use of UWS Safe App.</li><li>Maintain logs and records, and prepare incident reports, ensuring proper notification to both Campus Operations and Safety Coordinator and Manager.&nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul>Daily Functions of Campus Operations: Cross- Training (35%)<ul><li>Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.</li><li>Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing appropriately.</li><li>Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls.</li><li>Assist operations team with various reports, trainings, communications, and tasks.</li><li>Maintain all aspects of the parking program that includes but is not limited to managing the quarterly student commute declarations, assigning permits badges, processing tickets, and distributing badges parking permits and applicable parking stickers, and reloading students and employees' TriMet Hop cards.</li><li>Assist in processing and distributing mail for all departments on campus,</li></ul><ul><li>Accept, sign for, sort, and deliver incoming and outgoing mail.&nbsp; Including tracking, scanning coding and mailing incoming check payments to the system office.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform safety related functions as deemed necessary in emergency plan protocols.</li><li>Create requisitions, receipts, and supplier invoices for vendors and contractors through Workday.</li><li>Create, print, and distribute employee’s office nameplates</li><li>Identify and report malfunctioning locks and other safety hazards in a timely matter.</li></ul>Other duties as assigned (5%)4.
