JOB SUMMARY
A Police Officer I will work under the general supervision of the direct supervisor. Advice and guidance are available from the supervisor as needed for complex issues or exceptions to policy. Work is performed in investigating crimes and accidents, protecting property, facilities, citizens, staff and students by law enforcement.

JOB STANDARDS/QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY Under the directive of the Information Security Officer, the cyber security analyst will implement security strategies and best practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct or coordinate vulnerability scans and document findings and risk mitigation strategies. Implement, monitor and maintain preventive and detective controls. Operate, administer and monitor network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems. The Patrol Officer (Police Officer 1) supports students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors by monitoring activity on campus for the purpose of maintaining peace and enforcing laws and supports the college by ensuring a safe educational and work environment. The Jimmy Naifeh Center (JNC) at Tipton County Campus is the home campus for this position. However, the officer may be required to perform police duties at the other DSCC campus locations.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

<li>Performs foot and vehicle patrols of campus to preserve the peace and enforce the rules and regulations of the college, state, federal and local laws, directs and manages vehicular traffic, secures and unlocks campus areas as needed.</li>
<li>Responds to calls for service; investigates motor vehicle incidents, criminal offenses, and non-criminal incidents; and takes appropriate law enforcement or investigative action.&nbsp; Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email account and department mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
