About us
On July 1, 2017, the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness transitioned into a new governance and became the Fulton County Board of Health. As one of 18 public health districts in Georgia, we are now aligned with the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH). As the largest single health district in Georgia, FCBOH serves nearly one million citizens who reside in Fulton County. Our health centers now include state-of-the-art clinics to serve our clients along with a newly renovated Office of Vital Records located in the Fulton County Government Center. The Office of Vital Records offers state-of-the-art technology and a waiting area that features Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) seating to accommodate all customers more efficiently.
Board of Health's nearly 300 employees serve a diverse population that utilizes our eight health centers located throughout the county. Our goals are to protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes, and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives.
