Benefits
At the UC Foundation we understand the importance of providing both a desirable work environment as well as benefits that provide our employee’s peace of mind and work/life balance. The benefits described below are offered to eligible full-time employees.
Health:UCF offers both a traditional PPO and High Deductible Health Plan through Anthem in which employees may elect to cover themselves, a spouse or domestic partner and/or any dependent children up to the age of 26. In conjunction with our health insurance, UCF has a wellness program which provides employees with the opportunity to earn reduced health insurance rates, as well as, provides wellness coaching and funds towards gym memberships! Additionally, UCF employees have the opportunity to open and contribute on a pre-tax basis to a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account which UCF contributes to as well.
Dental Insurance:UCF’s dental plan is provided through Dental Care Plus, which includes an extensive network of providers as well as out of network and orthodontia benefits.
Vision Insurance:Employees can elect to purchase vision insurance provided through EyeMed.
Life Insurance:UCF offers both employer paid and supplemental life insurance policies through MetLife. The employer paid life and AD&D policy is equivalent to ½ the employee’s annual salary rounded up to the nearest $1,000. In addition, employees may purchase supplemental life and AD&D for themselves, their spouses and/or dependent children.
Long Term Disability:Employees are provided this coverage at no cost to them as UCF pays 100% of the premium.
Retirement:UCF participates in the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA). Staff are eligible on their date of hire to participate in a defined contribution 403(b) with employer match. UCF contributes a 1:1 match of up to 10% of your base pay to your account for which you are fully vested immediately. To receive the UCF contribution, the employee must contribute a minimum of 3%. UCF will not match more than 10% of your base pay (contribution levels are subject to IRS regulations). Additionally, employees have the option of making pre-tax or Roth contributions to their retirement accounts.
Time Off from Work:Vacation: Staff accrue vacation at an hourly rate which provides employees with 20 days per year.
Sick time: Sick days are accrued at an hourly rate which provides 15 days per year.
Holidays: UCF has 10 holidays per year including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas’s Day and an additional Christmas holiday which varies each year and is determined by UCF.
Seasonal Days: UCF recognizes seasonal days at the end of each calendar year. This time off occurs around the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The specific dates vary each year depending on the holiday schedule.
Parental Leave: UCF provides up to 12 weeks of paid leave to both birthing and non-birthing parents for the birth or placement of a child age 17 years old or younger.
Tuition Remission:Employees, their spouses or domestic partners and unmarried dependent children are eligible to participate in UCF's tuition remission program for The University of Cincinnati within program guidelines and excluding College of Law, Medicine and Pharmacy.
