Job Description and Requirements
The Mortgage Loan Officer will evaluate, authorize, and recommend applicable credit decisions based on a detailed analysis of a member’s financial profile for the purposes of conventional lending programs. In addition, they will conduct a thorough needs analysis which will assist in guiding members into the most suitable loan program. The Mortgage loan officer will counsel the member, and collaborate with various internal/external partners, throughout the entirety of the mortgage process.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Obtain, analyze and complete mortgage loan applications via web, phone or face-to-face.
- Provide detailed mortgage product/process details to RBFCU members.
- Obtain and analyze required member documents related to the mortgage loan request.
- Accurately complete disclosures in accordance with all RBFCU guidelines and industry compliance standards.
- Serve as a member advocate while maintaining the integrity of all RBFCU's policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with all parties involved with any given mortgage transaction – including membership, real estate agents, builders and other third party partners.
- Perform in a high volume and fast paced environment.
- Interview members to determine financial eligibility for loans.
- Effectively manage a pipeline of loans while maintaining RBFCU service level requirements.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 12 months experience in mortgage industry or Bachelor's degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and DocuSign
- Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
- Ability to work Saturday shifts as necessary
Preferred:
- Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish
- Experience with Encompass
- Bachelor’s Degree
