Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is offering a sign-on bonus for the Mortgage Servicing Collector position! New hires will receive $250 in their first paycheck, $500 following 90 days of employment, and $500 following six months of employment (applicable taxes and withholdings).

The Mortgage Servicing Collector is responsible for contacting members who have gone delinquent on their mortgage and/or commercial loan(s) in an effort to collect payments and/or negotiate payment plans, while providing excellent member service. In addition, will ensure all commercial and mortgage servicing time lines are met, and loss mitigation options are reviewed and discussed with risk borrowers. The Mortgage Servicing Collector will also support the Remarketing Analyst with mortgage consignments, vehicle transportation, title releases and assigned auction support activities with vehicle consignments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent and considerate member service
- Maintain a high volume of outbound and inbound phone calls
- Collect payments on past due mortgage and/or commercial loans and negotiate payment plans
- Review member status for possible loss mitigation options
- Monitor queue reports to effectively manage delinquent mortgage portfolio
- Initiate foreclosure proceedings when applicable
- Initiate mortgage servicing initiatives when applicable
- Identify and recommend loans for site visits or inspection
- Manage account restrictions and member's account services
- Conclude and perform auto sales and real estate closing transactions
- Generate written communication when applicable

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 1 year collections or call center experience
- General knowledge of the bankruptcy and foreclosure process
- General knowledge of collection laws
- Detailed knowledge of various mortgage loan products (pertaining to bankruptcy, collections, foreclosure)
- Ability to maintain and exceed collector performance metric goals
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to excellent customer/member service
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic user level knowledge of Microsoft Office
