Overview:
The Manager, Tax plays a critical role in ensuring Hain Celestial’s compliance with corporate income tax regulations. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns, managing tax provisions, and acting as a business partner to the Accounting-North America team. The role contributes to Hain Celestial's financial integrity by aligning tax obligations and strategies with the company’s goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of consolidated federal, state, and local corporate tax returns.
- Manage the US research tax credit process, including interviewing business teams and reviewing calculations and documentation prepared by outsourced firms.
- Coordinate with US and Canada accounting teams for quarterly tax provisions (ASC 740).
- Prepare and review quarterly tax provisions, including domestic and international income tax, FIN48, cash tax analysis, and balance sheet accounts.
- Track and model tax positions and their potential impacts on the company's effective tax rate.
- Research tax impacts and determine required disclosures related to transactions and new accounting guidance.
- Build and develop relationships across the business to understand Hain’s operational transformation.
- Manage communications with tax authorities for all tax matters.
Scope:
Financial/Budgetary Responsibility:
- Oversee tax-related financial responsibilities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- 6+ years of experience in US international tax matters.
- Experience in a public accounting firm or multi-national corporation.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Taxation or related field.
- CPA certification.
- Experience with tax provision (ASC 740) and compliance software.

Team Size:
- No direct reports but collaborates extensively with internal teams and external advisors.
Conditions of Role:
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for meetings and audits.

Compensation and Benefits:
- $95,000 -$135,000 / year (commensurate with experience and location)
