Business casual dress, flex time, and tuition reimbursement are a few of our many work-life benefits available to our employees.</p><h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Engage with USSPACECOM senior leaders and USSPACECOM space-related customers to understand their space-related analysis needs and translate them into work products.</li><li>Understand, manage, and translate current and Future Operational Concepts (FOCs), campaign and operations scenarios, and platform and system specs into representative simulations for assessing space systems, capabilities, missions, operations, and architectures.</li><li>Develop, refine, and curate model based system engineering (MBSE) Systems Modeling Language (SysML) data models as the foundation for modeling, simulation, and analysis through collaboration with government and industry organizations.</li><li>Actively participate in Agile analytical sprint processes and ceremonies.</li><li>Collaborate with software developers to ensure space-related Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&amp;A) frameworks and tools accurately represent agent-based platforms, systems, and architectures.</li><li>Collaborate with data scientists and other analytical experts to guide advanced analytical approaches and evaluate results.</li><li>Collaborate within and across small Government-Contractor-FFRDC teams and their respective Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine MBSE data.</li><li>Dive into research on technical development aspects (e.g., space orbit astrodynamics, unique DoD systems functionality) to ensure platform and system models are accurate.</li><li>Demonstrate your analytical products to customers.</li></ul><h4>Qualifications</h4><p><strong>MINIMUM</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 – 15 years of professional experience or master’s degree in a STEM field with 3 – 13 years of professional experience.&nbsp; May substitute educational degree for experience.</li><li>Space domain operations experience and understanding in multiple areas of: astrodynamics; orbital mechanics; rendezvous and proximity operations; satellite communications; missile warning/missile defense; space-based positioning, navigation and timing; remote sensing; environmental monitoring; command and control; battle management; and space domain awareness</li><li>Relevant joint space warfighting experience in an operational, science and technology, or operational test organization.</li><li>Exposure to modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.</li><li>Proven track record of engaging with customers, product users, and coworkers to create innovative solutions to complex problems.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.</li><li>Possess a natural curiosity and desire to challenge yourself and those around you.</li><li>Ability to brief USSPACECOM senior leaders on your findings and analytic models.</li><li>This position requires an active security clearance at the Top Secret level, with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility.&nbsp; You must be a US Citizen.</li></ul><p><strong>DESIRED</strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience working in a Joint Environment or Combatant Command.</li><li>Prior experience with Combatant Command level exercise or wargame design.</li><li>Understanding of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process</li><li>Graduate of Space 100, 200, or 300</li><li>Ability to code in relevant language (Python preferred, MATLAB acceptable) to support modeling, simulation and data analytics.</li><li>Experience with database languages (MongoDB preferred).</li><li>Planning or participating in joint military utility assessments.</li><li>Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML).</li><li>Experience using Scrum.</li><li>Experience using Model Based System Engineering software (Cameo Systems Modeler preferred)</li></ul><p>Experience using orbital analysis visualization tools, such as Systems ToolKit, FreeFlyer, Space Domain Characterization and Control System</p><p>Target salary range: $102,000 - $180,000.
