Under the direction of the Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Associate Director of Business Operations and Information Technology is responsible for the planning, organization, coordination, and supervision of all aspects of Housing and Residence Life assignments, facilities management, StarRez and all other technological components of the department. Working in a team approach, this position works closely with the Director in performing various responsibilities that directly impact the Housing and Residence Life staff and experience of students living in on-campus housing. As a highly visible member of the university community, they interact across divisional lines and work collaboratively with many segments of the university through education, consolation, advisement, and referral. This includes coding of housing applications, assignments, as well as creation of charge schedules for fall, spring and summer semesters and the enrollment verification annually. Determines the needs and provides support for StarRez and other technology within the department, collaborate with other offices/departments involved. Coordinate the department's effort to revise all housing applications annually (Freshman, Returning Students, Exchange Students, Summer, and Spring). </li><li>Develop and edit the content of the StarRez housing portal, all modules providing annual revisions and enhancements, and the content and edits to the department website. </li><li>Research system enhancements according to best practices and protocols; evaluate impact on existing policies and procedures; propose and develop recommendations. </li><li>Create and revise data management documentation. </li><li>If applicable, supervises staff that assist with the execution of housing assignments/business operations/marketing, this includes but is not limited to Administrative Assistants and the department's student workers.
